Habíamos terminado de comernos una deliciosa sopa de tomate en un libanés de Greenwich, cuando aun seguía nevando con mucha fuerza. Salvo los quitanieves, no había apenas vehículos que se aventuraran a tomar las calles de Manhattan, pero este intrépido ciclista no cejaba en hacer sus recados.

We had finished eating a delicious tomato soap in a Lebanese restaurant at Greenwich, and it was still snowing very hard. Only the snowplow on the streets, but this fearless bicycle rider didn't throw in the towel.

Esta cocinera preparaba dim sum, mientras su compañero aguardaba detrás de ella. El cristal empañado por el vapor difuminaba la figura en segundo término, dándome la impresión de un espíritu que vigila nuestros movimientos.

The windows of the restaurant kitchens in London Chinatown show very curious images.
This cook prepared some dim sum, while her workmate waited behind her. The glass fogged by steam blurred the second figure, giving me the impression of a spirit that watches our movements.

El viento que nos cruzaba la cara y la tempestad que convertía las siluetas de la isla en fantasmas, fue una de la experiencias más bonitas de mi vida.

We chose to cross the Brooklyn Bridge when a huge snowfall came down on New York.
The wind beat our faces and the snowstorm turned the outline of the island into ghosts, it was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life.

Tras los cristales del autobús pude disfrutar del alucinante paisaje lunar.
La soledad se puede a sentir.
Una pena que ningún operador turístico tenga la feliz idea de realizar los tour en autocares descubiertos.

During a visit to Timanfaya National Park I could capture this image.
Behind the window of the bus I could enjoy the amazing lunar landscape.
Solitude can be felt.
It's a pity I could not travel in a convertible bus.

Paramos a comer en un restaurante del barrio chino londinense, y desde la ventana no pude más que fijarme en este curioso personaje. Mientras descansaba junto a la pared con su bastón, no dejaba de apurar un cigarrillo. La suerte de captar al ciclista en el momento preciso, hizo el resto.

We stopped to eat in a restaurant in London's Chinatown, and from the window I could see this curious man. He was leaning against a wall with his cane, finishing off a cigarette. The luck of capturing the cyclist at the right time did the rest.

Mientras disfrutaba tomándome una cerveza en la Plaza del Comercio de Lisboa, me fijé en esta gaviota solitaria como yo. Junto a los del fondo, los tres conformábamos un grupo perdido en esta adorable ciudad.

I was having a glass of beer in the Praça do Comercio in Lisbon, when I noticed this seagull, lonely as myself. Together with the people of the background, we became part of a lost group in a wonderful city.
